PRIDE Event – Bear Necessities Clothing Den
The EBEA Bear Necessities Clothing Den has been a work in process, we are anticipating an opening date in February 2018!
We estimated that today there are over 800 children within our township that are without the necessary means to purchase essential items such as school clothing. By establishing a place where these students can come for new and/or slightly used necessities, it will give them the essential clothing they need to be comfortable at school, allowing them to concentrate on receiving the high-quality education our members work to provide to them.
Our goal is to take in donated articles of clothing from the community, wash and dry them, and display them in our Bear Den store for students/family to “shop” from at not charge.
We are currently working on establishing a web page, additional information regarding the EBEA Den will be available soon. Our NJEA PRIDE Grant has not been approved as of yet but we are anticipating that to happen any day now. Thank you to our members for their generous donations at our EBEA Fall Fest which enabled us to paint our basement walls. We have since purchased clothing racks and bins for storing the extra cleaned clothes. We are still in need of additional carpeting (Carpets & More of EB will be assisting us), dressing rooms to be built, lighting and a washer and dryer set to clean the donated clothing.
If you are interested to assisting in this on-going project please contact our committee chairs JoAnn Peterson and Christine Chinchar at Lawrence Brook, or contact the EBEA office at EBEA.BearNecessities@gmail.com. Or fill out our on-line form at

Let’s see if you can make a hole in one! All levels of experience/non-experience golfers are welcomed to join us for a round of golf and a buffet dinner in Topgolf’s climate controlled bays, so weather is not an issue, and to make your experience fun and enjoyable. No experience necessary.
Come out and take a swing at it, there’s nothing to lose…you may in fact win a prize.
Remember, if Ed Norton can teach Ralph Kramden how to play golf, or try to play, I am sure you will do just fine. Just don’t forget to address the ball first 🙂
